Screens freezing then flickering black.

Hi,

 

Randomly out of nowhere my screens will freeze then just go black, then my main monitor will flicker from an off black to an on black constantly. I've checked all my drivers to no avail and its really annoying me as its a brand new PC. I found out that Nvidia Geforce experience wasnt working last night and that when i opened the app up it was lagging my mouse out, i turned off the ingame overlay and it felt smoother.

 

Any Ideas? I'm stumped.

Post your system specs to give us an idea what we are working with to help you.  That being said...Any bluecreens or just the black?  Is you PC still running when the screen goes black or is it a full shutdown?  Is there anything that tends to trigger it? ie. Does it only happen while games or does it happen while web browsing as well?  How do your temps look?  Nvidia just released a new app to replace GForce Experience.  You could try installing that and updating drivers through that program.  Have your updated you MOBO BIOS since you got or built the PC?  If the MOBO was sittiing on the shelf for a while it can be quite a bit behind.  Also consider running memtest in case your RAM isn't working as it should.
