Hello everyone,

after i was experiencing problem after problem this week anyways steam  wouldn't open up this morning. I haven't changed a thing and reinstalled a couple of times, deleted %appdata% and also %localappdata% after installation. The reinstalled steam goes into Downloading it's needed files and shortly after the tasks are open but not the application. I can't access steam whatsoever only thing is that my Pointer is showing me something is loading. I cleared all of the Folders, uninstalled everything, tried to flush it but therefore steam would have to open. I don't know what it is even reinstalling didn't work.
Thank you for your help!

My specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 3700x 3.6GHz
32GB of DDR4 RAM
Geforce RTX 2080 Super (msi-Edition)
MPG X570 Gaming Plus Motherboard
Windows 11 (newest Version)
BIOS (newest Version)-7C37vAM
Be Quiet 450W Straight Power 11

What hard drives is in your PC? SSD's etc. Maybe reinstall steam on another drive or just reinstall it. What ram speed are you running? Is your CPU overclocked? Maybe windows is corrupted.

That steam process is there no icon active on bottom bar?

If so try maximise the screen in order to get that back.

Otherwise steam is launching but stuck with no window appearing including active applications in your bar?

If so then try memory test otherwise just reinstall windows as last resort

I'm jank tinkerer if it works then it works.

Regardless of compatibility 🐧🖖

Steam isn't shown in bottom bar. Just reainstalled Windows a few days ago.

Installing it to another Drive did the work but I can't really explain why. Using an M.2 SSD now instead of a HDD.

That's it, it loads slower it takes forever.

But yeah it wise to use fast storage as boot for steam and simply add extra storage in steam client and make that as main storage then steam will prioritise to install games on HDD as default unless you optionally select different drive

That's why I suggested it. Your HDD might be bad

I had the same issue a few years back where after I closed steam on my hard drive it wouldn't open up again without a full restart of my pc, was very strange. Opens every time now on my M.2.
