Is using this modem card in this PC a fire hazard?

A Friendly ShyGuy

I took this modem card from my old eMachines EL1200-01e micro tower and put it in an HP-Compaq dc5800 micro tower. Of course, the eMachines is a lot smaller, and so the modem card is also small and doesn’t really fit in the HP-Compaq. Is using this modem in a larger computer a fire hazard in any way? Here is a picture.

No. That's a half-height card. You can use those in full-height PCs. The size alone won't cause problems.

I'm trying to understand what about this makes you think it could be a fire hazard.

I think they're just concerned because of how it seats within the chassis.
