Very low CPU usage and high GPU usage

Isaiah daniels

I have a ryzen 5 5600g cpu and a amd rx 6600 8gb 32gb of 3600mhz ram and on most games I have 4 to maybe 10 %  Utilization On my CPU and a 100% utilization on my GPU.

Starfield, Call of Duty and Doom are some of the games that this happens I get  Decent frame rate But don't know why my CPU utilization is so low

You mean yes it is. The GPU is holding back the cpu, but that is what you want generally when gaming. You don't want the gpu to be waiting on the cpu.

But shouldn't it be at 40 to 50 %on the cpu at least?

no, because if CPU has 6 cores and 12 threads, and the game only uses 1 core and 2 threads, it can't use 100% CPU if it doesn't/can't use more than one core

it's like having a 12 lane highway, and all the cars go same speed, there's really no need for them to switch lanes, and all of them can drive in the same lane
