Steps for upgrading from am4 to am5 regarding my boot drive

I am planning on upgrading from a ryzen 3 3100 to a ryzen 5 7600 and have some questions about my boot drive. If I move my m.2 from one MOBO to another, will it fire right up and be the exact same? I know my windows key will not work but will my login in be the same, and will my desktop shortcuts and other applications still be on there? I am currently on windows 10 with a non Microsoft account based account (idk how to say I configured windows without wifi lol), would it be better to upgrade to windows 11 before the upgrade or after?

Not sure if my question is getting across but I will take any knowledge you can give.

If you're changing platforms, I would just back up your stuff and do a clean install of Windows as general best practices. 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
