Opinion on this deal?

Go to solution Solved by Tetras,

From looking at PCP, the discount that Amazon describe in their listing appears to be correct.

Was too busy the last few weeks to take benefit of black friday and cyber monday but now that I have time, the deals aren't as good (presumably).

I am new to canada so not familiar with how good Boxing Day sales are. I would prefer to build my PC ASAP but if it's worth it to wait then I might just wait. I dont have other parts yet so I will buy those after i decide on these two first.

For now, is this a good deal or should I wait for Boxing Day?
amazon.ca

TLDR: is  Intel i7 13700k + GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS Elite AX for 778 CAD good?

@Tetras But is it a good deal for the options?

When you say you checked PCP, do you just mean you verified that it is a discount as opposed to buying the two separately or is there a way to check bundle prices on PCP that I am unaware of? Does PCP always give the lowest it can find for whatever part you choose?

We would need a lot more information to make that assessment for you.

Not that I know of.

I don't live in Canada. Perhaps you can tell me by checking the largest hardware stores in Canada for those parts.

Sometimes you can find a good deal on boxing day, but imo its not really worth it. You save some tax maybe. It isn't like in the States where they get awesome deals.

For the CPU:
PCP (VUUGO): 542.82

VUUGO: 542.82

Memory Express: 599.99

Newegg.ca: 549.00

Best Buy548.98

Amazon.ca:549.00

So I guess from the prices they have listed on their own website, they do present the cheapest and the parts prices listed, at least at the time of posting, are bang on. Thanks for your time and for making me less of a lazy bum.

Yeah, the 13700k by itself is still ~470 CAD in US and 550 on the .ca site. It's annoying finding a great deal, getting happy and then realizing it's meant for the states.

Don't forget to add the tax 😄

This is not a cheap country to live in anymore.
