I only log in as one user, but it shows two of them.

That's not two users, it's a field for entering a username and a field for a password.

 

Was that PC ever joined to a Windows domian? Is that a vanilla Windows install, or did you use some "custom distro" of Windows?

 

Make sure fast user switching and "enumerare local users" are enabled in the local group policy editor.
