How to convert external SSD and use it like a USB flash drive?

yargd

I'm trying to make a bootable Windows 10 install USB with an external SSD. I  put it in an enclosure but the system can't see it as a USB, just a storage drive. Please help.

I'm trying to make the system see the external SSD like a USB flash drive. I need this to do other stuffs like recovery USB, etc. Thanks.

Try using rufus. It has a option to allow external hdds/ssds to be used as the install medium.

No luck. is this even possible?
