Crucial RAM Price Differences

Hi, i want to upgrade my RAM. Currently I have two sticks each 8GB Crucial CT2K8G4DFRA266. Crucial 2x8GB

The Thing is they cost as much as two 16GB Crucial CP2K16G4DFRA32A. Crucial 2x16GB

So I never did this before. Like buying RAM and I am afraid of missing something obvious. Why are there such huge price difference between the RAM kits.

And Advice which one to buy would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance !!

Thanks a lot guys 🙂
i looked up some docs.. i guess my system is XMP capabel

· Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz
· MPG Z390 GAMING PLUS (MS-7B51) (0x0000074E - 0x92763720)
· NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080

and maybe this is relavent since my cooler is kind of big
· be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4

Go for some XMP ram is fine then. It was just that if it didn't, then it may be optimal to find something else more similar to your old ram.

Dark Rock Pro 4 is ok for the regular size modules from memory, but avoid taller ones.
