Unbalanced multi-gpu in 2023

_Person

Hello,

In 2021 I built my first PC. This was during the gpu shortage, so I had bought I very very cheap gpu (gt 720) as a temporary graphics card. I have recently bought a 3070ti since the prices have come back down. So my question is, is there any benefit for keeping the 720 as some sort of second gpu, since it won't really sell for anything? And if so, for what applications eg. gaming, rendering?

My build is:

ryzen 5600x

2x8GB crucial ballistix Elite 4000

X570 tuf gaming plus wifi

750watt psu

Nvidia 3070ti/720

No. If it were a much more powerful card or had some special features, there might be some benefit. But with a GT720... No. I would just keep it as a spare, in case something happens. Its always good to have a working GPU around.

Nope keep it as a spare gpu if you ever need it for anything. Won't do you any good keeping it in.
