Advice needed

AlignedTrack432

I have been going through problems with Windows since I installed Linux. Anyway I'm considering reinstalling but with the keep files option. Does this work? And does it keep user profiles, software etc? Oh and also does it keep all the Acer bloat?

if your looking to start fresh just back up anything you care about and reinstall via USB or choose the 'get rid of everything' option in windows.

Acer bloat shouldn't stay aslong as your getting rid of everything or doing a fresh install.

is it RGB control software or something else ( the acer bloat)

Not if you do a clean install using Microsoft's restore media.

If there are any vendor-provided tools you want to keep using, you'll have to download and reinstall them from the manufacturer's support site.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

What about the built in factory reset with files kept

It blows - rarely fixes anything. Just do a clean start

So you want to keep the Acer "bloat"?

Have you checked to see if you can just download some of these things from Acer's site somewhere?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
