New GPU maybe triggering PSU protections.

Its possible, the XFX model apparently could spike up to 530W, the rest of PC maybe consume around 200W-ish, pretty close to 750W. And that PSU is not particularly high end, so I could see that happening.

Try setting power draw limit and undervolt, maybe the spikes could get lower and not trip the PSU.

So I have the following scenario, I just installed a new 7900xtx Merc black, I have an EVGA supernova 750GA PSU, I played a bunch the first day, but on the second day My PC just turned off when loading a mission from armored core 6. I suspect some protections on the psu are being triggered, My PC turns off and when I press the power button it does not turn back on, I have to cycle the PSU switch off and on again, this is why I believe the OPP or some other protections on the PSU are triggering, is this a normal occurence after OPP triggering?

Neither My GPU or CPU(5800x) are overclocked both are stock, I have a b550 MB, two nvme ssds, 4 case fans and one CPU fan, some USB peripherals, mouse, keyboard, external hard drive. Would this be enough to trigger OPP, and if so is the need to cycle the PSU switch the evidence. I had read that 750 watts was the minimum, I figured I don't have many additional components to suck more power, no AIO no pump or crazy RGB.

The XFX website calls for a Minimum PSU size of 850 watts for that card so there is a good chance you are borderline on the power capabilities like Dukesilver said.

Thanks to both, I am fairly convinced the PSU protections are triggering, before I go out to buy a new 1000+ watt PSU I am looking for the final confirmation. I tried to limit power on the adrenaline software to -10%, that is the maximum allowed, but still the PC shutdown. I can't turn it back on by just pressing the power button, I need to actually unplug from the wall or cycle the PSU switch, is this expected after an OPP triggering?

Yes, having to reset the power supply is typical for resetting OPP.
