Blaring noise from Watercooling

After a few tests, I found that increasing the RPM of my CPU block made this noise. Can I fix this? I don't really want the hassle of getting a warranty because it will take a month or two. Even a replacement will take a month... I'd rather buy a new one than wait.

More important. Does the AIO cool your CPU at current RPM ? If so, I would continue using it. Maybe keep a spare air cooler just in case. Also, is your CPU block driven by PWM or DC voltage ? It is a common mistake to use a PWN pump with a header configured for DC (and vice versa).

As for the noise, it sounds more like a wire hitting some fan blades than a CPU block to my ears.

Have a nice day !

From my testing, the noise seemed around the threshold of 2100 RPM, but anything below that was super quiet. Did a stress test for 3 hours and found no issue after capping the RPM. Yeah, the sound was really similar to that, which is why I redid all of my cable management to fix the issue. Also, haven't checked if it's PWM or DC. How can I know?

Have a nice day too!

Whatever causes the sound, the pump speed isn' that important. A slower pump speed means the water have more time to heat up in the cpu block, yes, but it also has more time to cool down in the radiator, so it basically evens out.

So if you don't find out what causes it, I would just set it to the highest speed that is comfortable listening to and call it a day.

I see.  I'll just warranty it and order a new one. The sounds are really something else, and I don't want to destroy my 7800x3d because of that. The temps were also getting hotter and hotter. from 75 yesterday to 85 now. Don't want to risk it.
