Can a VGA fail Motherboard be used with a CPU with Graphics?

Hey, I have a B350 Gaming Plus from MSI and had an issue with it. With a GPU connected in any of the PCI-E Slots, it doesn't give video. The EZ Debug Led indicates that a GPU is not detected or failed. I ended up buying an ASUS TUF B450 because I didn't want to get into the hassle of figuring out if could be fixed.

The real question is anyone know if it is possible to use it with a CPU with integrated Graphics? Like a Ryzen 5 5600G? Or any easy way to fix it?

I want to sell that motherboard

A GPU not being detected typically means the GPU is defective, not the motherboard. Since you now have two motherboards, I would check if the second motherboard also doesn't detect it. That should rule out a motherboard issue.

If the GPU is defective, replacing it with another GPU or iGPU should definitely work. While fixing it is theoretically possible (with the right skills and tools), examination to find the cause and repair is typically more expensive than buying new.

It is a motherboard issue because the GPU worked just fine! I tried using the 1060 on another PC and a 960 on the failing motherboard. Both didn't work in the B350

Depends on what exactly is broken in this case. If the GPU is no longer detected, I suspect the PCIe port no longer works correctly. Could be a motherboard issue, but could also be a CPU issue.

If it is in indeed an issue with the PCIe slot, it's quite possibly an iGPU would still work. If it is caused by the CPU, it could also be swapping the CPU brings the GPU back to life. But you or a repair shop would have to verify what is broken exactly.
