Problem with Sleep (it shuts down on its own after 30-60mins after being put to sleep)

Laptop: DELL Inspiron 14 2-in-1 7430

CPU: Intel Core i7-13000u

CPU: Intel Iris(R) Xe Graphics

RAM: 16GB 4800mhz

OS: Windows 11 Home

BIOS Update: Updated approx. 10 hours ago from time of post.

Software running when crashed: Chrome (a prompt comes up saying Chrome didn't shut down correctly), more.

About a week ago I bought a brand-new DELL Inspiron 14 2-in-1 laptop. Everything was going fine and I was generally having a good experience as it was a huge upgrade from my previous machine. However, a problem that I instantly found was that whenever the laptop was put to a sleep state, after being left in the state for say 30-60 mins, the laptop would shut itself down/crash/turn off on its own, meaning that all windows and tabs in browsers be closed.

At first, I believed that I had misconfigured something in the Power Options, Power Plan, or Change what the Power Buttons do settings.

All the time values (e.g When to sleep after inactivity) were (I believe/d to be) normal (please check attached images) and each option from the Change what the Power Buttons do settings were all set to sleep. The options were clearly NOT the cause of the issue and I even got remote aid from DELL support. The only change made to the Power Plan (Advanced Power Settings) was the time the SSD was inactive until it would be turned off from 1 minute to 2000 minutes. The DELL Support staff did update some drivers and the bios and did some diagnostics (no problem).

After investigating if the work arounds did in fact work, the problem seemingly persists as it manages to shutdown/crash/turn off 30-60 mins after being put to sleep.

This problem can have a huge impact on work as it could lead to data loss on projects etc. when it shuts down/crashes/turns off.

Is there anything that I could do to fix this? I am still at liberty to return the laptop thanks to the 30-day return policy. Also it's my first time posting on a forum so hopefully I didn't do anything wrong! Thanks in advance!

Did you notice that your battery is low after the computer shuts off or is it still pretty full?

You were right there to fix the issue!

Go back to the advanced power plan settings, expand sleep again, and alsp expand hibernate.

Keep hybrid-sleep enabled.  This saves to disk at sleep, but also keeps the system in memory.  If pc loses power, it will resume from hibernate file.  Also to fix your issue, change the hibernate timer to never, even if you only put it to sleep, it may be auto-hibernating based on the settings.

I have a laptop set to hibernate after three hours after going to sleep.

Please upload one more picture, will all plus symbols expanded in the sleep mwnu.

Tips:

Change processor minimum to 0%, check idle CPU frequency in task manager before and after as I would like to know the differences.

On battery at least, set hard disk spin down time to around 20 minutes or less if you want to save about a watt.  It could also protect the data if you drop the laptop when the disk is idle.

Windows 11 will just force business to "recycle" "obscolete" hardware.  Microsoft definitely isn't bothered by this at all, and seems to want hardware produced just a few years ago to be considered obsolete.  They have also not shown any interest nor has any other company in a similar financial position, to help increase tech recycling whatsoever.  Windows 12 might be cloud-based and be a monthly or yearly fee.

F-droid is a place to install open-source software for android, Antennapod, RethinkDNS, Fennec which is Firefox with about:config, lots of performance and other changes available, mozilla KB has a huge database of what most of the settings do.  Most software in the repository only requires Android 5 and 6!

I recommend firewall apps (blocks apps) and dns filters (redirect all dns requests on android, to your choice of dns, even if overridden).  RethinkDNS is my pick and I set it to use pi-hole, installed inside Ubuntu/Debian, which is inside Virtualbox, until I go to a website, nothing at all connects to any other server.  I also use NextDNS.io to do the same when away from home wi-fi or even cellular!  I can even tether from cellular to any device sharing via wi-fi, and block anything with dns set to NextDNS, regardless if the device allows changing dns.  This style of network filtration is being overridden by software updates on some devices, forcing a backup dns provuder, such as google dns, when built in dns requests are not connecting.  Without a complete firewall setup, dns redirection itself is no longer always effective.
