Screen flicker on the Asus ROG Strix G15

My friend got a ROG Strix G15 5 weeks ago and faced this issue about a week into using the laptop (attached a clip of the same). My first advice to her was to update the graphics drivers, which did seem to have solved the issue at that point in time but now she is facing the same issue about a month after the last time this happened.
I'm not sure what is causing this and how to fix it so an explanation along with the solution would be very helpful!

send it back? if its new and under warrenty then rma it
