RivaTuner / MSI Afterburner OSD cannot be switched off

Hello fellow hobby techsupport,

 

Problem:

It is not possible for me to activate / deactivate the Afterburner overlay by pressing a button (chosen in the settings). It therefore remains active permanently after selecting attributes that I want to see.

 

Similarly, I can set the RivaTuner's frame limiter, but I can't switch it using the selected button either.

 

My attempts:

I've tried reinstalling both programs.
Even with full admin access, these functions remain blocked.

just close the rivatuner app completely, that will remove the OSD

I don't want to close the app completly,

I just need to turn off the overlay as I want to use it like the "Nvidia performance overlay" with more details.
