RTX 3060 TI 78c Hot Spot??

Sparky862

Should I be concerned about this at all??I use HWmonitor, while my GPU runs at 65c Max and my CPU about 45c or little more ... my GPU HotSpot shows 78c.

I play on 1080p Monitor but obviously crank graphics up to 4K resolution while using DX12 and if available RTX and DLSS etc etc.

I attached my HWmonitor file for those tech nerds that need details in order to tell me I should worry or not.

I cleared my HWmonitor stats, so I'd have to recreate it again in HWmonitor. Or do you want the .txt file screenshots?

Anything under 80c average/100c hotspot is fine, don't worry

I am asuming that hotspot means the spot or component hottest at the given moment?? But 80c sounds extremely rough .... won't my GPU explode, melt or pop anything

yes thats right hot spot is the the spot where its hottest. these gpus are made to runn up to teps of 100c so 78 is perfectly fine. your gpu wont melt or explode becasue of it

80c is the hottest spot on the GPU indeed

60c/80c average/hotspot is normal condition under load and is even relatively cool

Max safe temp is around 85c average/105 to 110c hotspot

Don't pay too much attention to the hot spot temp unless it's above 90-100c. Well some new AMD cards go there, but the hot spot is meant to be high. And 78c is actually pretty chill for a hot spot. rest easy.
