WinXP rainbow six rogue spear error help?

Hi guys, Noob here

 

Have got an old XP machine up and running to play some old games.

 

Most of them are working fine

But, the one i want most isnt working and im not sure why - Rainbow six rogue spear installs and runs fine but then crashes when trying to load a mission. Ive tried all the settings i can find and playing with the compatibility wizard. just get the old winxp error send/dontsend every time.

 

running p4 2.4ghz

512mb ram

GT610

 

So it should be fine?

any pointers would be great

could be file corruption, could be lots of things.  Memtest may be appropriate here.  On the bright side they’re easy and free.

 

 

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

been stuck on 1 level since about 2004, i refuse to let it beat me haha
