[Question] Should i get the i9 11900k?

Hey  wanted to ask what CPU i should get. Currently i am sitting with :

motherboard: asrock b560 pro4

CPU: i5 11400

GPU: rtx 3070 ti

RAM: 32gb ddr4 3200mhz

PSU: 700W psu coolermaster 80 plus

I play games in 1440p 144hz warzone 2, path of exile, planning to play some other games too, and i also code and do sometimes heavy projects running in docker. I was planning to get an i9 11900K since i wont have to swap motherboard but i heard that the i9 11900k is kinda bad..

If you upgrade on the same platform most of the benefit will come more from cores, 8 vs 6. Also consider 11700 series as the 11900 is only a small clock bump on top. The lower 8 core CPUs can run pretty much the same as the higher ones if the mobo allows you to select higher power limits.

If the costs of doing so are high, then a platform swap might be considered.

Main system: i9-7980XE, Asus X299 TUF mark 2, Noctua D15, Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200 3x 16GB 2R, RTX 3070, NZXT E850, GameMax Abyss, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, Acer Predator XB241YU 24" 1440p 144Hz G-Sync + HP LP2475w 24" 1200p 60Hz wide gamut
Gaming laptop: Lenovo Legion 5, 5800H, RTX 3070, Kingston DDR4 3200C22 2x16GB 2Rx8, Kingston Fury Renegade 1TB + Crucial P1 1TB SSD, 165 Hz IPS 1080p G-Sync Compatible
