Can someone explain to me why and how to fix it?

This has been going on for a while, but when I click in the box where I can't type I get the classic typing cursor anyway, and I haven't noticed this happening to my friends or anyone else. Should I just reinstall chrome or something else?image.png.4b90b271cd36f0e9b4366bd2f946eff8.png

I work on chromebooks and with the chrome browser everyday. It might sound crazy but this fixes a lot of strange issue like this. Reset the browser settings.
Here is a guide for you.

Let me know if this works.
