PC can see Wi-Fi and can connect to hotspot but I cannot see my home network

Found a gaming PC at the landfill I live near, its runs great and nothing is wrong with it just can’t see my network I can see my neighbors networks and my hotspot and can connect and use it normally as intended, did some digging and tried a few thing such as reinstalling drivers and all that good stuff with nothing please help thanks

Also if anyone is wondering yes my internet is working and on just can’t see it in my computers end

How old is the system and what WiFi band are you operating on at the moment? Some older systems can run into issues if you're using a newer revision of WiFi (WiFi 6 for example).

 

Drop a specs sheet of your system in the thread and let us know what OS you're running on.

It’s seems to be newer seems keyword lol 

 

it’s and MSI motherboard only thing I know on it is RTL8192CE 

 

intel I76700

GTX 1060 6gb

320gb wd hard drive 

running windows 10 

 that’s all I know I believe 

I’m also using spectrum Wi-Fi 6 router like you said

And I’m not even sure what Wi-Fi band I’m on I’m not infront of the pc currently but 802.11n I believe is something to do with that???

Can't see any reason why that wouldn't work from that info. Unless I'm missing something.

 

Can you hotspot to your phone to run Windows updates and then see if it shows up afterward? Or wire in while you run Windows updates.

Well I was looking into the Wi-Fi card I believe the one I have is supposed to have antennas but I’m not sure if that’s the problem because I can still see other networks and connect to them
