Recovering an old Gmail. This is what google tells me to do.

This is so useful. Now i can't get my 13 year old photos, all gone forever.

Anyone know how to fix this? The recovery gmail is the one i'm recovering, I set it to another gmail address but google keeps defaulting this gmail address as the default recovery gmail.

Does it give you anything under "Try another way to sign in"?

This is why you have secondary emails. Your old account most likely doesn't have enough data that could be used as verification that account actually belongs to you. Like phone number, address or more commonly, 2nd email.

no it's probably because my old email contains a dot "." which is ridiculous

it should be morn14150.tnm@gmail.com

and not morn14150tnm@gmail.com

and yes the morn14150tnm@gmail.com is not even a real gmail address.

Gmail doesn't differentiale between addresses with dots and ones without them.

Nah, that just means it's from old era. My email was made with a dot, but I use it without. And I have had recovery emails set from day 1.

Dots don't make any difference in the address.

 

Its impossible to set the recovery email to the same address as the account. I suspect you have another account with a similar name.

Well last week I tried to create an account morn14150tnm@gmail.com and it still requires me to get a verification from that same email.

Also I don’t have an another gmail address with the same name
