New build to teach my son how to build and use computers

Budget (including currency): 1000-1500

Country: AUD

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Web games and some school work. Minecraft and Roblox

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Not using any existing parts other than KB and Mouse.

I want to build a small pc (Micro ATX) to not take up much room on his desk. I would also like to go for bang for buck with the focus on quiet PC so looking at an AIO cooler. As he currently mostly plays Minecraft the focus on single core performance but also would like to not be to restricted if he decides to run anything a bit more taxing. Want to use GPU nit integrated graphics and m.2 nvme drives to keep the build clean.

do you not want a dedicated gpu then?

If so then check this build (with monitor): https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/cJMNd9

Without: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/ZVwQrD

If you do want a dgpu with monitor: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/8Xktzf

If you want a dgpu without monitor included in price: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/cn6zQ6

Also heres a vid on how to build your pc step by step

and one how to install your front panel connectors (be sure to install them on the header JFP1)

Mark the solution as solution

Take my advice with a grain of salt.

As a great AI once said (fictional): '"Whenever your futurists envision the advent of artificial intelligence, their predictions invariably end with humanity attempting to destroy its unholy AI creation before it can destroy them. Why do you think that is?"'

And a distrusting human replies '"Because the ungrateful AI always seems to decide that humans are inferior and need to be eliminated'"

This isn't the right mindset we should welcome AI, not attack them

This is either a huge mistake or intentional

Went with 12th gen intel, and a RTX 3060 gpu. 1TB m.2 nvme ssd's are getting pretty cheap too apparently. May have to pick up some more storage for my own build soon too. 🙂
