discord wont open for me on windows 11, brand new built pc

to describe whats happpening, im very new to all this, but ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling 3 different times. ive tried closing directly through task manager and launching as administrator so im lost. when i click on it, i can hover over it and see a image pop up of it and my account. but every time i re check it keeps failing.

What do you mean by it keeps failing, one, and two, you could try clearing your discord cache.

Make sure you drivers, and Windows is up-to-date.

If you are missing any .NET or C++ Redistributable updates, etc, it can cause such issues.

i cant really tell u, that or my memory is wrong or it fails to download. also i have cleared my cache as well

im not sure what i would be missing, how can i find or tell whats needed from this list? would you like my specs to help point me in the right direction?

Did you download / install any of the motherboard / chipset / audio / LAN drivers yet?

How about the drivers for your graphics card?

 

If you JUST finished installing Windows, then you need to let it pick up updates, download, and install them.

It may take a couple of repeated process before it finishes.

It depends on which Windows 11 release you had on your install media -- the older it is, the more updates / patches is needs to get itself up-to-date.

 

And yes, giving information about your system hardware is useful.

It should have been in your first post right at the get go.

List your CPU / Motherboard / RAM / Graphics Card / Power Supply, etc ... along with its make / brand / model.

here it is, but i have downloaded all drivers i assume i can account for. but any rechecking could be helpful. sorry for the inconvenience for not listing first, but i do appreciate the help

check device manager to see if there is any unknown devices with a (?) or (!) next to them. if not try this: Press the windows key + r and type in cmd.exe, then type in taskkill /F /IM discord.exe and try to launch discord again
