90" screen at 4m (13feet) what resolution

CatXice

as title i have a 1080p projector at 13feet from a 90" screen currently and we are sitting below the projector so viewing distance is also 13 feet is it worth upgrading it to a 4k or not as i would like the better clarity but only if it is going to make a difference at this viewing distance

I joke.
you should 100% go with 4k for that size

i mean have you got any information that would support this view as a new projector is going to cost me around 2.5k GBP

yes,

at that resolution, individual pixels are going to be 1mm² for 1080p

thats pretty big

even mathing it out, it comes out to a bit like using a 14in 720p laptop at normal laptop viewing distance range. and so the comparison of 1080 to 4k is 2x so it would be like 1440p on a 14in. I dont know about you but when I am subjected to 720p on anything bigger than 12.5in, I want to throw it in the trash.

basically what i am getting at is yess there will be a very noticeable difference at that distance.
But also if all you do is watch netflix and movies, then it is very not worth 2,5k goodboypoints
