I have 3 ancient laptops stripped of removable parts. What should I do with them?

Decade-old laptops without issues are a dime a dozen.

My 2013 Fujitsu Lifebook AH532 is in perfect condition, it's my daily driver in addition to my desktop.

In the past few weeks i played Skyrim and Tokyo Xanadu on it having a blast.

I have never had a Laptop, desktop or other expensive electronics die on me.

My 12 years old desktop from 2011 is still working, my LG Optimus L5 is still working, just sold my 2008 Lenovo N500

Only the Thinkpad.

I have a Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook from 2012 that...

- Has no HDD. Repurposed then sold.

- ... because it has broken SATA ribbon connector which I somehow accidentally cut with scissors, don't ask how; I don't know either.

- Malfunctioning keyboard

- Damaged 30-pin ribbon connector, which prevents the laptop from powering on.

+ RAM still in there because it's soldered.

+ Otherwise works perfectly fine!

+ Wrapped in cling wrap so insects won't invade it anymore.

I also have an old Acer Aspire from around 2009 that...

- Has no HDD. Repurposed and sold.

- So slow that I'd be surprised if Linux Mint Xfce runs on it.

- Has yellowed plastic!

- And yellowed display!

- Has its battery missing.

+ RAM still in there because quite frankly I don't know who'd want it.

+ Otherwise works "perfectly" fine!

+ Also wrapped in cling wrap for the same reason.

And a Lenovo Thinkpad from around 2011 that...

- Is 32-bit so I can't use it for certain programs.
- Does not pass POST 70% of the time because of a malfunctioning CPU fan.

- I think has a virus in it somewhere 😛

- Is not wrapped in cling wrap :((

+Still has HDD and RAM still in it.
+Works perfectly fine if it's in the mood.

+ I like the mouse nub thing

Are these still worth repurposing? If so, how should I go about it?

throw them all away.. try going the extra mile and dispose of them in ancivilised manner.

they are not worth investing anything into. I get the nostalgia though. I too have sth like 4 laptops I've outgrown and are now just sitting in my storage.. don't have the heart to throw them out.

They're great if you have a door you need to keep held open, or a stack of papers you don't want to blow away.

Decade-old laptops without issues are a dime a dozen. Recycle those since they're all problematic, and it's not worth spending money on fixing them.

Dell owns my soul.

Affirmative, perfectly within reason. I see you're of the civilised sort as well, sire.

Proceed as you will. I shan't stand in your way.
