exFAT or NTFS for M.2 adapter USB

I have M.2 SSD in external M.2 adapter (Type C). When formating it do I need to set it to exFAT or NTFS? Also quick format or full?

I'd do NTFS personally. Unless you have a specific need for exFAT, like cross compatibility with other platforms like a console.

quick format is OK and you will need exFAT if you want to use it on non windows devices (some of them will be able to read ntfs but not all)
