Last of us benches on gamegpu show massive difference in all res between top dog 3080 ti and Shitty 4070 ti. 

 

EVERY driver onwards Will be 40 series ready only

there seem to be no benchmarks run by reputed benchmarkers yet, and the game is having tons of issues, so i don't know if you can really judge performance just yet. Seems like the game needs some optimizing. 

 

Where do you get that drivers will be 40 series only? that would be major news if true.

The port itself is shit af, lots of crashes according to Steam review. 

I bet Nvidia don't want to waste their time optimizing their whole gpu stack for a buggy game.

He's not saying cards before 40-series won't get updates, he's saying only 40-series will get real optimizations.

 

It's been a long-standing belief for some that Nvidia intentionally cripples older cards with driver updates to encourage people to buy new cards. 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

This is only partly true. It also comes down to how much the QA teams get of what hardware. 

I love PC building and gaming. 
REMEMBER botttlenecks can happen at all points of a PC part. Make sure you are at equilibrium. For all parts unless you intend to upgrade at a later point. Also QA Tested AAA Games.
