If it was a voltage surge then most likely they have short circuited.

Depends on what you mean by "fried" and how it occurs. If its jolt through whole thing, like lightning strike, I wouldn't trust anything in there. If its more local short circuit, for whatever reason, then it might be fine or not. No way to know without testing one-by-one.
