steam deck: half life source vs ps2

 So I'm asking this question, is it better to play the native linux version of half life source (the bugfix mod is directx only, no opengl version) or the ps2 version of half life using pcsx2?

I've seen only reviews of half life ps2 version and the textures and everything are much lower quality than half life source's textures.

Steam Deck is powerful enough to run half life source so no reason why you should get worse experience.

Digital Foundry has made the analysis on this not that long ago and the PS2 is quite a bit worse looking in graphics.
