Can a loose pci-e adapter cause stuttering? (fixed) Rx 6800xt i5 9600k. (Question)

Hello, yesterday i had insane stutters in both desktop and in games, scrolling etc. However, i took the gpu out of the pci-e and then put the pci-e adapter back and it stopped stuttering. Haven't noticed those big stutters after that which is relieving. I'm still getting small stutters but that's definitely because of my cpu. Not in all games though. Just wanted to ask this because i'm pretty confused.

Yes, if you have a bad PCI-E extension cable, or something wasn't fully seated properly this can happen. I had same issues years ago with a 1080ti and a cheap thermaltake riser cable.聽
