you can't use secure boot with MBR.  They're incompatible.

You can either:  Convert the drive to GPT as listed above

Or:  I would personally backup any save data you need, wipe the drive, and do a fresh windows install with secure boot, etc.  all enabled.

If the computer boots into windows the BIOS recognizes the drive fine.

it will NOT be a bootable device as MBR if you turn on secure boot, etc.

you don't do anything BIOS.

You make a new Windows Install USB, and reformat the drive during install.  Windows will create the correct partitions for you.

SO what you want to do:
1) Unplug any drives that aren't the SSD you're installing windows to

2) Boot off the USB

3) Do a "Custom" Windows Install

4) Delete all the partitions on the SSD

5) Click "Next"

Windows will make all the partitions and format them correctly.

@tkitchYOu don't need to reinstall windows. Drive can be converted to gpt using build in mbr2gpt tool.

so the first step to convert to GPT?

Yes, follow the guide I linked to it explains everything. Once you have run mbr2gpt reboot to bios and disable CSM.
