Intel Core i9, ddr5 128Gb RAM, RTX 4090, 4TB NVME

Budget (including currency): 5000€

Country: Europe

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 3d studio max, photoshop, aftereffects, 8k editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I want to build a pc around i9, 128gb ram and 4090. I've been running into threads, videos and online discussions that some motherboards and some RAM just don't work well, so if someone has built a system like this that is allready working, I'd want advice on what parts to get, it seems like everywhere I go noone is certain.

Thanks.

Hey... I made you a list of parts that work really well together and I have built really similar PCs using these parts. I went with a all Corsair and ASUS build for better compatibility and less confusion.

The one highlighted part I want to draw your attention to is the Motherboard. It might not be a gamer board but it has some features that the other don't have, it's not just for gaming... It's for everything you can think of with a PC. Do you want to Game, Stream, Render, Edit, and Record all at the same time then this CPU/Motherboard Combo will allow you to do that with ease.

You will probably notice that the PSU is at 1500w, I was going for a 1200w but the price for the larger one was almost the same so I went bigger.

If you need any help or have questions then I'm here. I have 30 years experience building PCs.

Samsung 990 was my first choice, I heard Samsung had an issue with their hardware dying quickly, but they "fixed it" with a firmware update, I just don't trust that. So Western Digital Black SN850X 4 TB M.2-2280 PCIe was next in line, I didn't get to see any reviews for Crucial nvme

BTW I don't care abvout all the RGB led stuff i'm not gonna look at it, and most possibly will be in a different room, I got long expensive usb and Display Port cables, I will most likely run Linux on it with multime virtual machines with PCI passtrough so I can separate work, private stuff, games with different virtual machines. I'm also building a server that will have 24 hdd that is 3d printed case with some aluminium so I'm going to have a closet computer... I'd appriciate if you can scrape off some of these LED RGB vanity off and save money.

These days RGB is pretty much standard and hard pressed to find parts that don't have it. Not to say that there aren't non RGB parts. I have tweaked the list a bit and any remaining RGB can be turned off with the Corsair iCUE software that is on the case and case fans that you put in the case, as for the GPU RGB, I think it can be turned off with ROG Crate software.
