Samsung Full Performance Mode

Nizar77

Hi,

I have question about full performance mode on SAMSUNG Magicians. what does it do? because Benchmark jumps from 547 MB/s to 3374MB/s when I enable it.. is this number 'real' or what? and is it healthy for the drive for long term?

Thanks

It performs a manual TRIM and enables "intelligent" DRAM caching.
It might make things marginally faster is some instances, but it will invalidate any benchmarks you do on it so don't use those to judge the difference.
It's safe, but might not be a performance increase based on your workflow

I highly doubt you'd notice a difference either way. But you can just turn it on, it shouldn't make things worse for nearly all people
