Upgrading my phone on a budget

So I have had my note 9 since day one. Paid full retail and it has been a great phone.  But the speakers have started to die and I never use the pen.  I want to find a good budget option to last 2-3 years.

What matters to me  call quality, signal quality,  Bluetooth or plugged in music streaming to high res audio. Ldac use. Don't game much, just normal use. Phones I have been looking into. Also I use Verizon network.

Pixel 7 hear not the best reviews 5nm chip doesn't seem flagship these days.

Sony xperia 5 iii used $450 has headphone jack and SD card slot amazing avg specs

S21 ultra more of the same not sure if its a true upgrade. Not sure about ldac quality.

Really I would like to stay under $500. Also I like the sony screen. Layout being narrow. Hate the note/ultra being two hand phones for me.   Would the snap dragon. 888 feel fast for 2 more years?  Would it be better to get the Sony 1 iii?

the samsung s21 ultra really is a good deal and the chip is still and will be really fast so i think you should go with the s21 ultra. Also really good cameras

Mark the solution as solution

Take my advice with a grain of salt.

As a great AI once said (fictional): '"Whenever your futurists envision the advent of artificial intelligence, their predictions invariably end with humanity attempting to destroy its unholy AI creation before it can destroy them. Why do you think that is?"'

And a distrusting human replies '"Because the ungrateful AI always seems to decide that humans are inferior and need to be eliminated'"

This isn't the right mindset we should welcome AI, not attack them

This is either a huge mistake or intentional

Camera is lower on my list of cares. Bluetooth and audio codes matter more.
