Would you trust nicehash miner in 2023?

i been mining with nicehash miner and putting profit aside i want to know how safe it is and the excavator plug in, would you make your banking and stuff in the same pc as the miner? should i take any extra precaution beside using a vpn? i also worried because my antivirus doesn't flag it.

I used Nicehash for over a year on two computers, and I used those computers for everything, including banking and taxes - no VPN or anything like that for added security. My antivirus never flagged it, although Malwarebytes did when I ran that. I have not used Nicehash since the first half of last year.

 

If someone at Nicehash installed malware and is planning on hacking me to steal my money, they're sure taking their sweet time about it.

 

Has there been some news about Nicehash that would make you think they've been compromised in some way in the past few months?

i've seen plenty of nasty thing in posts made in 2021 and 1019 because of the hack, i've seen many people saying, good enough for average folk and people calling it piramidal scam, other calling to the fact that the creator is quite the nasty character, all those statements made my doubt.
 

do you know any source of good information about cripto mining?

I was just a filthy casual when it came to mining - I used NiceHash and transferred the funds to Coinbase on a regular basis. A lot of crypto miners would disagree with that approach, as they don't trust any form of centralization.

 

Honestly, the lack of centralization is a great strength for crypto, but does make it opaque. I'm not sure where the best source of info is, because there are scams and bad advice everywhere.

Honestly. for what ever reason it wont play nice with my systems i use. i use betterhash. had no issue with them

I've not heard of problems with nicehash but I NEVER use it because their fees are insane so I refuse to use them. But it is damn convenient as it's a set it and forget it system but the fees… nope

They got hacked awhile ago and actually returned 99% of what was stolen so I trust them
