Ryzen 2600, Asus prime x470-pro, G-Skill Trident Z 32GB 3200mhz

I upgraded my RAM a while back to a G-Skill Trident Z 32GB kit. I enabled DOCP/XMP to run the 3200mhz speeds. It ran pretty stable for over a year. When I upgraded to windows 11 I started noticing random game crashes and BSOD's.
I did some initial trouble shooting and upgraded my motherboard BIOS version to the latest version. It ran stable for about 3 weeks and started to show the same symptoms. A fresh windows install didn't fix the issue.

It's really weird, I can use my pc with normal workloads like browsing, coding, etc. without any hastles.

I noticed that I can play games normally without any crashes after a reboot, but when I open my browser and I play a game it would crash after a while but not in a consistent pattern. It crashes at random intervals. A restart fixes it and only if I don't open my browser.

I have reinstalled and verified the game files.

Below is the error I am getting when I view the error in event viewer (All my games give a similar error):

The last step I am going to try is remove the DOCP/XMP profile and run it stock out of the box.

I have reseeded the RAM sticks.

Any other suggestions are appreciated.

My next move would be to reinstall windows using a new installation media. Upgrading from windows 10 to 11 (instead of installing windows 11 with a usb stick) is known to be unstable.

Common build advice: 1) Buy the cheapest motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother.

i'd try just reseating the ram first (and CPU if there was ever a cooler swap or maintenance)

this kind of behavior can be anything, extremely hard to pinpoint. You're focused on ram but we can't be sure.
It could even be bugs with the control software for the rgb on them. are you using asus' or gskill's stuff?

I used the built in reset Windows feature to reinstall windows.

I haven't installed the rgb software as yet. I only installed the necessary drivers like Nvidia, Realtek audio and the default drivers Windows automatically downloads.

All is pretty much stock.

I might have fixed it with reseating and swapping the ram sticks (slot 4 -> 2 and 2 -> 4).
I haven't encountered a crash or bsod since swapping the sticks. I'll keep monitoring and post on here if the same symptoms appear again.

Thanks for the suggestions. I really appreciate it 🙂

I've always found that the built in reset feature is kind of useless and that many issues tend to persist after using it. Hopefully the issue is fixed, but if you do find the problem isn't solved, I suggest creating a new windows 11 installation media and installing from scratch.
