Portable monitor with only a Type c port, can't find a way to use it on my PC

very_noobdude

I have a ASUS MB169C lying around, it's a portable monitor that only has a type c in, a DP to type c wouldn't work because it also receives power through it

any workarounds/cables I didnt find?

i have checked on the pinned topic, but i need power in as well as dp in

there isn't a thunderbolt addon header on my motherboard so i can't get a thunderbolt expansion card

cable i found was type c out and dp in with power to the type c side, will that work?

A monitor like that is designed to work in one way.

Faking it to work other ways would be...  tough.  IDK if it would work.

Nah that looks like output only.

Not aware of any way to convert something TO usb-c unfortunately.
