The Linus Tech Tips, TechLinked, and TechQuickie Youtube channels have been restored.

Thanks for the concern everyone. We are still in recovery mode over here and working with YouTube to get everything restored. Will hopefully have a video (or at least an update on WAN Show) to share with you all ASAP, but we want to make sure we get the details right since smaller channels may rely on our experience to help harden their own security.

Yup, this is happening even though you have 2fa, I think they hacked cookies from one of the computer or something 😔

Same for me! I got a notification of Tesla, I did not remember subscribing to them but when I saw their vid, I instantly notice ltt vid, please don't click on the links they are displaying on the yt stream 🙏

Hopefully, due to the size of the channel, let's hope that LMG can get the channel back rapidly.

I'm a French nerd. I use Project Nobara and I like FOSS and retro-computing.

Most likely thing to happen but nowadays it can happen to anyone given the right circumstances, they just need to catch you in a day when you are really tired or stressed about something and when you realize what you did it's already too late.

Man I really hope someone from LTT is awake...given it's 3:30 in the morning there at the moment!! They're deleting all the videos!!

It's frustrating you can't report channels being hacked directly to youtube. Get on your socials people especially twitter and bombard all the staff you know.

Confirmed, The Linus Tech Tips channel got hacked.

You should really step up your corporate security protocols and be more strict about them...

French Youtuber "thierry vigneau Boiserie" got hacked the same way 3 month ago. 
All videos were deleted by the hackers and name was changed to Telsa but he managed to got his channel back with a backup from youtube themselves.

i was watching msnbc and then tesla show up ... 15.3m subs . my reaction was who got hit and that i was subscribed to.

 

this made me join here to post and try to wake up the community.
