Can i turn a regular fan into a blower?

So, making a custom gpu shroud with a blower. I dont have a blower, but have a regular 80mm fan laying around. Can i cut the side out and use it as a blower??

Blowers have a different blade style, not just an open side. To be effective you'd need to replace the blades as well.

Not effectively. The blades are completely different and do not funtion the same.

Alright though so. I actually do have a blower, but it is 5v and I believe my gts 250 supplies 12v for fans.
