The Tribit is just a plain Bluetooth speaker — it won't support any voice assistants. The Echo Dot sounds good for the money; it won't be stellar, but you'll likely be happy. And it's a true smart speaker with Alexa.

What's your budget? And is your phone Android, or an iPhone? I ask because those may present more options. If you have an iPhone, for example, you could get a HomePod mini (normally more expensive, but you do get more).

I don't see mention of Google Assistant support in the Tribit product description, so I wouldn't count on that. It's really a portable speaker that might happen to work decently indoors; the Echo Dot is a true smart speaker.

I'd still lean toward the Echo Dot. It might not be as powerful and isn't portable, but it won't necessarily sound worse (it may have a more balanced sound) and will be much better if you want a voice assistant.
