3060 Laptop with 12G VRAM

the chips are 32 bit, not 192 bit. 

192bit is the GPU meaning it will run in hexa channel, 6 32bit chips. 

I would consider the bin of the ram chip, it will be measured in Gb/s

Since you mentioned 3070 and 3080 laptop chips also being possible for upgrading, did you upgrade any? Was it successful?

 

I really want to know if 3070 laptop (140W) ( a Legion 5 pro AMD 2021 ) could be upgraded to 16GB.

Yes it is possible.Many 16Gig 3070/3080 laptop GPUs has been selling for years here.My own 3060-12G laptop still woring today.

Cool. Is the upgraded vram also 16GBps ones or the same 14GBps ones? If 16GBps is possible, will it affect gpu stability and cause black screen, freeze...such etc.?  I hope not. Also do tell, Is there any cons, (i mean even if its nit picking), in doing such a vram upgrade for a laptop gpu?  Like losing ReBar support, or increased idle power consumption, .....etc
