Problem with the motherboard i think

Hello guys, i have a problem with my MB, so i have a ASRock h110m-dgs MB, and its not working with a rx580 8gb even its PCIe 3.0 i need help. There is no signal to the monitor. The fans are working.Changed the PSU.

The MB works with GT710 and before i change the GPU i deleted all the drivers so.

Yes this may be the problem i checked and my bios is the oldest. I can update it by myself right?

Yes, there should be a section in the motherboards BIOS menus for updating the BIOS. You just need to download the BIOS from Asrock's website. The board might be able to search for the file downloaded in your Windows install, or you might need to put the file on a flash drive. There should be instructions in the manual, which should be available in PDF form on Asrock's website if you don't have a physical copy.

hello. This was not the problem i think i updated to the latest BIOS. And still no signal.

VGA monitor to HDMI GPU. I used the cable with the other GPU and it works well.

VGA (15-pin D-sub) is an analog port.

LCD monitors are digital devices. To accept an analog signal, the monitor needs to have an analog to digital converter inside.

Modern graphics cards are digital devices, they output only digital (and use digital connections like DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI), so for a digital output to be "VGA" you need an digital to analog converter. The cable you're using probably has that built in and the chip is probably powered through HDMI. It's an active adapter/cable.

When you do conversions, you loose data meaning the image gets worse, but you also get some delay due to the processing.

That's why VGA is going the way of the dinosaurs.

Which CPU do you have? Does it have integrated graphics?

 

Using an active DVI-D to VGA cable could help us diagnose - you could connect the monitor with the motherboard and boot using that while the Radeon is in the system - that way we could see if the Radeon is detected.
