Weird issue with Shadowplay (only in one game)

So i started playing Overwatch about 2 weeks ago, it all went perfectly fine, I've been streaming a lot with OBS, and also recorded with Shadowplay (not at the same time) with no issues, and now it just started giving me "connection to server lost" *every* game... resetting router etc didn't do anything to fix this...

So i turned off Shadowplay and used OBS again,  and no more "connection" issues... that's really weird, right?

I didn't change anything before this started happening,  no updates (afaik), etc... literally just turned on Shadowplay and this started happening...

Im seeing lots of people having this "lost connection" issue,  but no one seems to mention Shadowplay...

I dunno maybe i should reinstall the driver? <- actually afaik there was no Overwatch update,  but it's possible,  i think they roll out stuff timed, like i downloaded an update some days ago, but the issue only appeared today,  weirdly enough  - really seems like either a bug with the game or Nvidia GFE/Shadowplay.

Also not sure where i should post this, seems like a driver issue/ or game related bug?

i mean the weird thing is it doesn't crash or anything... it just keeps disconnecting me from the server...

Edit: its also not Steam running in background - i tested that... it really seems to be Shadowplay specifically - which I just don't understand why it would disconnect me from Overwatch servers

Uh, so i had the genius idea of updating just GFE and that fixed it??

"Optimal settings support added for 50 new games including:

A Plague Tale: Requiem, Against the Storm, Broken Pieces, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Call of the Wild: The Angler, Construction Simulator, Coral Island, Cross Fire HD RT DLC, Dakar Desert Rally, Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed, Diablo Immortal, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Evil West, F1 Manager 2022, Farthest Frontier, FIFA 23, Football Manager 2023, Gotham Knight, Inside the Backrooms, Isonzo, Lego Brawls, Marauders, Marvel's Midnight Suns, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Metal: Hellsinger, MultiVersus, NBA 2K23, Need For Speed Unbound, Overwatch 2, PC Building Simulator 2, Rumbleverse, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Saints Row, Scathe, Shatterline, Sonic Frontiers, Steelrising, The Callisto Protocol, The Chant, Torchlight: Infinite, Tower of Fantasy, TRAHA Global, Two Point Campus, UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Undecember, Victoria 3, Warhammer 40k: Darktide, Way of the Hunter, WRC Generations - The FIA WRC Official Game"

So my best guess is they *did* update the game with "pre-release content" which i guess would be "released" tomorrow... and that probably includes engine changes also, which Nvidia probably addressed in this GFE update...  would be nice if devs could be a bit clearer about what their updates do, i guess.

Its interesting that this wasn't even a proper driver update but GFE, guess it's just part of the actual driver package, i always thought its a completely separate app. 🤔

i had this also , curious if its really fixed as well...

"Fixed an issue where recording was overexposed with HDR enabled."

Edit: also weird, before i updated GFE my GPU usage was weirdly high in OW2 suddenly,  like ~90% most of the time, now after the GFE update it's back to 30-60% or so, much better obviously  - but still weird because GPU usage was still high even with Shadowplay off (i didn't try to turn GFE off completely though  - forgot that would be something i should try also, i guess)
