Alright then...

I'm all out of ideas on what's wrong, besides the motherboard being the problem since we've already changed out every other part and tried another CPU.

Thanks for your help!

Just wanted to provide an update that everything works now. The issue that I found was that the Motherboard BIOS was actually corrupted. Since there wasn't a BIOS Flashback feature, I had to buy a CH341A programmer off of Amazon and flash the BIOS chip. That seemed to work, and everything shows up and works correctly!

Hi everyone,

I upgraded my ram from 16 to 32 GB yesterday and decided to enable Auto OC in the BIOS. Although it worked for a bit, the PC crashed. I have tried jumpstarting the JBAT1 to no avail. I have also taken out the CMOS battery to no avail. I reseated RAM - even changing brands, swapped PSU's, reinserted an old CPU (2200g) back in and my motherboard is still giving me a white LED CPU Ez Debug error. I had a Intel System laying around and my RAM, GPU, and PSU are still working. What options do I have left and what can I do?

System Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x

RAM: 32 GB DDR4 (2x8 for 4 slots)

GPU: EVGA GTX 1060 3 GB SC

PSU: EVGA 650W PSU

MOBO: MSI B450M PRO-VDH

Welcome to the forums!!!

You have 2-2x8 DIMM kits installed, using all 4 DIMMs? What make and model RAM are the kits you are using?? Ryzen is pretty picky with it's RAM choice so I suggest checking the QVL list on the motherboard's support page to see if the RAM is supported or not. Have you tried just one stick of RAM in the 2nd slot away from the CPU socket?

Thanks! Yes, they're using all 4 DIMMS. I'm using Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2x8) which is the same for the other set. It has showed up in BIOS when I upgraded it, so it does work and it is detected also in my Intel system when I tried to test which parts were still working. I've just tried putting one stick of RAM in the 2nd slot away from the CPU and it still lights up white under CPU Ez Debug.

For whatever reason, Ryzen particularly don't like Corsair Vengeance DIMMs and failing to POST has been seen. Quite odd though that trying with one stick doesn't at least bring the system back to normal like before.

Is the 2nd kit a different revision from the 1st kit that was originally installed? You can check this by looking at the tag on one side of the DIMM. I want you to put the original kit in (2nd and 4th slots), flip the PSU switch to off, clear CMOS and then hold the power button in on the case for a couple seconds and let go. Flip the switch back on the PSU to 'ON'/dash and try turning the system on again. This will drain any residual capacitor charge in the system.

Thanks! It is a different version, I'll try putting in the original and let you know what happens. I took my motherboard out of the case so I won't be able to access the power button to hold on to.

Ok see how it goes. You can short the two front panel pins that the power switch would connect to with something like a flat edge or Phillips screwdriver.

Ok I put in the original, reseted CMOS and connected the switch w/ a flat edge. Turned it back on and the display is still black w/ the LED light still on.
