RGB keyboard backlight not turning on restart or sleep

Hello guys I'm trying to figure out whats wrong with my RGB keyboard, recently I've switched from an Asrock b450 to a Gigabyte b550 and I noticed that my keyboard backlight doesnt turn on when restarting or waking up from sleep only when turning on from cold start, never had this issue with the b450 when my pc is off/sleep the backlight is off and when its on the lights are aswell, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and a keyboard reset (fn+esc) but to no avail, I've also played with the bios power setting but the menu is and some terminology are pretty new to me so I've must missed something, the keyboard in subject is just a generic g-lab tellurium
