Bluescreen after new GPU

lafidi6359
Go to solution Solved by bmx6454,

did you ddu first? if not, run ddu in safe mode: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

and after, install the latest gpu drivers.

Today I installed new GPU RTX 3060 12GB and I've got 2 bluescreens, first one was right after I opened RGB Fusion and second one was random during watching twitch.

My spec

Motherboard - Asus Prime B360-Plus

CPU - i5-8400

RAM - 2x8GB 2666mhz

Storage - 1HDD 1TB 7,2" and 128gb M.2

GPU - be quiet! System Power 9 500W (know It's recommended to have 550W but both bluescreens happened at idle)

I upload dmp files to help me find me a solution.

I only removed the old drivers in control panel and did a clear installation with new drivers

try ddu and reinstalling real quick then. at the least, you will rule out a driver issue.

I finished reinstalling drivers, the last one bluescreen pop out after 4 hours so now we have to wait to see if it fixes the problem

What graphics card are you using BEFORE the RTX 3060?

If you were using a much older graphics card, or an ATi/AMD video card, leftover driver junk files can cause issues.

Use DDU in Safe Mode to completely remove the old drivers + leftover driver files.

I used 1060 3gb, I already used DDU and waiting for any bluescreen pop out, I also removed RGB Fusion because first bluescreen happened right after I open it

Just to add to the idea of using DDU;

When I upgraded from 1080 Ti to 3090, I did the same as you; uninstalled the drivers, changed graphics card, installed drivers again (no DDU), and everytime I turned off my PC, it would BSOD. One DDU later and it never happened again.

BSOD didn't appear yet so I guess reinstallation drivers with DDU helped

sometimes you get lucky and it's the simple things.. glad it worked, hope the issue stays fixed!
