Ender 3 V2 Pronterface not sending z-axis position...

Hey y'all,

   So recently I had a print stop very close to the top and I am currently trying to save it but I cannot home my z-axis because of the print blocking the movement. I am using Pronterface to try and manually set the z-position to the correct height but when I send the G92 code it just says sending and never actually sends sends. I have homed x and y but nothing is working for z...any help would be appreciated!
