Reverse scalping on 4080s

Here's what I see with Dropreference which shows availability and prices for GPU, in France/Eurozone

4080 MSRP is 1200+ 20% VAT so 1440EUR for a reference card

And there's like 25+ AIB cards in the 1450/1500EUR range, and more of them every passing day

Good job NVidia, soon sellers will lose money to get rid of your cards !

The point is to price the cards so that scalpers make no money.  If reviewers hadn't gone mindlessly ballistic against the 4080, scalpers wouldn't be able to make money of of the 4090 either.

 

If scalpers can make money off your product, the price you sold it at was too low.

$1500 is a ripoff and somehow this guy managed to get 30 of them and sell almost all.

There are ways to fight them on ebay, not ethical ways, but ways.
